Frequently Asked Questions
What is the mission of this organization?
The Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers (APAPP) was founded by Nurse Practitioner Corinne Young in 2020 as the first organization dedicated exclusively to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in pulmonary medicine. APAPP brings together nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, therapists, and other pulmonary professionals under one membership, fostering collaboration and excellence in pulmonary care.
Recognizing the need for standardized training for APPs in pulmonary medicine, APAPP aims to close the education gap by offering specialized learning opportunities, fellowships, and certifications. We provide a professional community where pulmonary APPs can grow and connect. We invite all pulmonary healthcare providers—doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, therapists, and more—to join our network and collaborate with like-minded professionals. Together, we can drive meaningful advancements in pulmonology, lung health, and respiratory medicine.
